Hidden Valley Resort to Open Wednesday, December 23, for Skiing and Snowboarding

After much anticipation, the slopes will open for Christmas week!

SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. – Seven Springs Mountain Resort and Hidden Valley Resort will open for skiing and snowboarding, Wed., Dec. 23, 2015!

The arrival of consistently cold temperatures allowed for extensive snowmaking to begin Fri., Dec. 18, and continue with little interruption through the weekend. The arctic blast provided ideal conditions for 50+ hours of intense snowmaking that has generated massive piles of snow up to 15 feet tall.

“Our incredible snowmaking teams have taken advantage of every opportunity to make snow,” said Eric Mauck, CEO of Seven Springs and Hidden Valley. “We are committed to getting our guests and season passholders on the snow and the Christmas week opening is a testament to our commitment.”

The Seven Springs slopes will be open:
9 a.m.-4 p.m., Wed., Dec. 23-Thurs., Dec. 24
9 a.m.-7 p.m., Fri. Dec. 25
9 a.m.-10 p.m., Sat., Dec. 26-Sun., Dec. 27

The Hidden Valley slopes will be open:
9 a.m.-4 p.m., Wed., Dec. 23-Thurs., Dec. 24
12 p.m.-7 p.m., Fri., Dec. 25
11 a.m.-7 p.m., Sat., Dec. 26-Sun., Dec. 27

In celebration of the much-awaited arrival of winter, the resorts will have live entertainment, give away prizes and provide cookies and hot chocolate to skiers and snowboarders on opening day.

For opening day, Seven Springs ski and snowboard tickets will be $60 per adult and $45 per child ages 6-11 and will be valid 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Hidden Valley’s opening day ski and snowboard tickets will be $44 per adult and $35 per child ages 6-11 and will be valid 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Skiers and snowboarders are asked to check the Snow Reports for information pertaining to available terrain.

Lodging is available at both resorts through the weekend. Guests are invited to take advantage of the Seven Springs White Christmas Lodging Package, which starts at just $190 per person and includes overnight lodging, lift tickets, a dining gift card and more. The Seven Springs snow tubing park will open Sat., Dec. 26. Slope hours beyond this weekend will be released at a later time and date.
