Snow & Weather Report
Update: Sunday, January 4, 2026, 6:12 a.m.
Good morning from the Valley! A wonderful Sunday on the mountain is ahead with wintry air and fantastic snow conditions on the slopes. Hidden Valley is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.
The grooming team rolled out a fresh finish of silky-smooth corduroy across open terrain overnight. We'll be enjoying yet another great day of fantastic snow for carving clean turns and building confidence across the mountain. Snowmaking may be underway on or near select areas of open terrain. Be prepared for reduced visibility, blowing snow, and variable conditions. Always exercise caution near active snowmaking operations.
It’s currently 16° on the mountain with cloudy skies and light variable winds. Passing snow showers and flurries are possible today and tonight as a weak disturbance moves through to the north. Frigid overnight lows will last through tomorrow morning before a milder pattern develops. Dry weather will take over on Monday before a series of warm-front passages brings periods of precip through the upcoming week. Wednesday looks largely to be the driest day for the midweek session. Looking farther out to the weekend, winter air arriving behind a cold front could flip precip to snow Saturday night. Extended forecast guidance shows overnight lows dropping back into the teens and low-20s after the weekend.
Snowmaking operations are currently online through the final stretch of this wintry weather pattern. The team has been working tirelessly around the clock to reinforce base, expand acreage and stockpile snow. As temps trend warmer after tonight, snowmaking will wind down and the team will take a well-earned pause while they prepare for the next window of opportunity.Â
Have a great day in the snow!
